Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet, Muslim philosopher, and Sufi mystic. His full name is Muhammad Jalal ad-Din Rumi. He known by the titles Mevlana, Mewlana, or Mevlevi, which means "our master" or "my master". He was born in Balkh, which is now Afghanistan, on September 30, 1207. He and his family next migrated to Konya, which is located in today's Turkey.
Rumi frequently addressed mysticism, spirituality, and love in his poetry. His writings have been translated into other languages and are considered as some of the finest poetry in history.
